Ever wanted to learn how to weave…but feel really intimidated by the whole process?

Want to enjoy weaving creativity but feel like you need a maths or engineering degree to actually use a loom?

Want a loom but don’t want to have it taking up your entire house?

Then SAORI is for YOU!

SAORI weaving is a freestyle form of Japanese weaving, that is FUN, CREATIVE and most of all, SUPER EASY to do! The looms are specially designed to make weaving FAST and SIMPLE yet ergonomic. Plus, with the incredibly portable model such as the WX60 – you can fold up the loom and put it away when you are not using it.

How is a SAORI loom different from other looms

  1. Easier and more ergonomic to use
  2. Easier to set up and thread a warp
  3. Can change over projects any any stage with an Inside Set
  4. Easily folds for storage and transport
  5. Can purchase prewound warps – you never need to make a warp (if you don’t want to!)

Each SAORI loom sold at Dyeing To Weave SAORI Studio is handcrafted at the SAORI organisation in Japan by just a couple of people, with exceptional craftsmanship and care.

Prue Simmons from Dyeing To Weave Studio is a fully accredited SAORI teacher and licensed Australian distributor for the SAORI looms and products. Prue is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with SAORI looms to enable people to quickly create gorgeous, sustainable and unique cloth. Each piece woven on the loom is a one of a kind.

No previous weaving experience is required with a SAORI loom – anyone can learn and enjoy SAORI!
